Method of Preparation

  1. Phase A – Gel Base

    • Take demineralised water in a clean beaker.

    • Sprinkle Carbopol slowly while stirring to avoid lumps.

    • Allow complete hydration (20–30 minutes).

  2. Neutralisation

    • Add Triethanolamine dropwise while stirring gently.

    • Stop once a clear, smooth gel forms.

    • Target pH: 5.5 – 6

  3. Phase B – Actives

    • Add all water-soluble herbal extracts one by one.

    • Mix gently to avoid air entrapment.

  4. Oil Incorporation

    • Add Kumkumadi Oil slowly while stirring.

    • Ensure uniform dispersion.

  5. Preservation

    • Add Iscaguard PEG and mix thoroughly.

  6. Final Check

    • Check pH again and adjust if required.

    • Transfer to a clean, sterile container.

 

Technical Notes for Formulators

  • Ideal pH range: 5.5–6.2

  • Suitable for gel tubes, pump bottles, airless packaging

  • Avoid high electrolyte overload to maintain gel clarity

  • Can be paired with mild solubilizer if higher oil load is desired

Apply a small amount of gel on clean face and neck.Massage gently until absorbed.Use twice daily for best results.
