Description - This calcium carbonate is a natural mineral sourced from high purity white minerals from the richest stone belts. It is ideal for cosmetic purposes. Particle size distribution 5.5 µm.

Use - Add as is to formulas. Typical use level is 0.5-25% depending on formula. For external use only. Calcium carbonate absorbs oil extremely well, so it can be found in cosmetics and skin care products as an oil control/mattifying ingredient. The high pH of calcium carbonate means you need to be careful with use around the eyes, though.You’ll also find calcium carbonate in toothpastes as a mild abrasive.

Solubility - Barely soluble in water
pH Value - Maintains a near-neutral to mildly alkaline pH (approximately 8–9).
